Construction

Industry experience
Perhaps no other industry sector is subject to the economic fluctuations and level of regulation as the construction sector. Residential builders are forever watchful of the building approval trends and interest rate movements that impact the consumer’s ability to purchase a new home. Rescode, Occupational Health and Safety regulations, 5 star energy efficiency requirements and more recently a developer’s tax on land holdings have ensured that only the best prepared and advised builders will flourish.
Commercial builders also deal with licensing issues, Department of Infrastructure accreditation and regulations.
Construction businesses and all related businesses, including plumbing, electrical, access equipment hire and framing are all subject to the same boom and bust cycles. The key to success is being able to gear up quickly when work is plentiful and to know when to downsize effectively whilst retaining key staff and contractors when times are tough.
Running a business is not easy, particularly in the construction sector. We have a depth of knowledge with numerous advisors assisting clients across all aspects of construction and have developed many answers to complex issues.
